Stress Test Services

Start Your Journey to Recovery

Cardiovascular stress tests are a simple way to measure the day-to-day health of your cardiovascular system. Specifically, they test how well your heart muscle receives blood and oxygen during exercise. Traditional stress tests required patients to exercise while hooked up to sensors that measure heart and respiratory activity, but newer tests allow patients to forego a treadmill session.

Jupiter Medical Center offers 4 different types of stress tests so that patients of any capability or health level can benefit from the information provided by these tools. We offer two tests that are exercise-induced (Regular Stress Echo and Cardiolite Stress Test) and two that are medically-induced (Dobutamine Stress Echo and Adenosine Cardiolite Stress Test).

Exercise-induced tests will require patients to reach a predetermined heart rate, with pulse and blood pressure readings before, during, and after the test. Regular Stress Echos take an echocardiogram of your heart before and after exercise, while the Cardiolite test employs a harmless injection of radioactive Cardiolite allows physicians to scan the flow of blood in your body.

Medically-induced tests do the same as the above exercises, but use medicine to induce minor stress to the heart rather than jogging on a treadmill. In either case, stress tests allow our doctors to view your cardiovascular and respiratory function, allowing us to precisely diagnose and treat your condition.
