Jupiter Medical Center offers customized cardiac rehabilitation programs. Cardiac rehabilitation is an effective strength-builder for patients recovering from heart attacks or transplants, improving their long-term health. We use these programs to help everyday people make vital changes to their lifestyles and lower the risk of future heart problems.
Our rehabilitation program is divided into four phases over a 12-week program. Each week includes 3 sessions, which will involve exercise, nutritional counseling, emotional support, and resources for lifestyle changes. Our goal is to help you eliminate the habits that led you to heart disease in the first place, and replace them with habits that will leave you stronger and healthier over time.
Because insurance benefits only cover a specific amount of rehabilitation time, Mount Sinai Heart New York at Jupiter Medical Center provides a transitional exercise program. As a result, patients can continue exercising with the same rehab team at a far lower cost.
